The WTS writes:
Of course, these dedicated, baptized “other sheep” of the “great crowd” have not been begotten to be God’s spiritual sons, with a heavenly inheritance. They are not spiritual Israelites. They have not been taken into the new covenant with the opportunity to become God’s “kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” They have never been sealed with God’s spirit as an advance token of their heavenly inheritance. They have not been anointed with God’s spirit as prospective joint heirs with Christ in his celestial kingdom. But do they nonetheless have holy spirit on them?
Overwhelmingly the facts answer Yes! Especially since 1935 C.E., the “great crowd” have worked with the spirit-begotten, anointed remnant. They have given convincing evidence that God’s holy spirit is operative upon them. A person on earth does not need to be begotten by God’s spirit in order to have His active force go into operation upon him.

WTS's two 'classes' of Christians is completely artificial
by yaddayadda inplease read the below excerpt from a 1996 questions from readers on the difference between the little flock and other sheep.
the article makes it very clear that both classes receive the holy spirit and there is absolutely no discernible difference whatsoever between the 'anointed' and the 'other sheep'.
the society is well aware there is no practical difference at all between these two so-called 'classes' of jw christians.

Chagas in blood supply
by Hortensia inhas anyone heard about this?
a friend told me about it this morning and i googled it and found articles like this:.
deadly parasite threat to blood supply.
-

The existence of parasites in blood is totally irrelevant. The WTS says its reasons for abstaining from the medical use of (some) blood is based on religious grounds, not medical grounds. If their reasons were only medical, they would permit JWs to donate blood or plasma.
The WTS skates on thin ice when it complains about "dangers" with medical treatment that employs blood products, since it is consistently shown that a patient is at greater risk when they refuse life-saving treatment with blood.
I believe one should have confidence, since the authorities have identified a potential risk and in those circumstances put procedures in place that ensure patient safety. At least they are open and honest.
If the WTS refused every medical procedure that involves a risk, they would not even allow people to visit the dentist.

WTS misrepresented what CTR wrote
by Doug Mason init is bad to make a false and misleading prophecy.

The most significant point in history is the life, death and resurrection of the Jew, Jesus Christ.
He warned us against looking at events such as wars, earthquakes and famines. We must forever walk the life in faith and not be distracted.
Look down the ages throughout history and you will always find people pointing to this event or to that event (Ottoman Empire, formation of the State of Israel, etc., etc.)
Look up, for that is where our redemption comes from. It will never come from men who fight and kill, who set up their temporary empires.

LESSONS FROM HISTORY

In the 1970s I produced a Paper proving that the WTS's authors consistently misquoted and misrepresented people.
I have a letter written by Mantey pleading with them to stop misusing his works.
I wrote a document in which I showed how regularly they misquoted and misused medical, legal and historical quotations throughout the whole of their booklet "Jehovah's Witnesses Answer Questions About Blood". My analysis is available on my web site (http://au.geocities.com/doug_mason1940/blood.html).
There were so many misquotations, selective quotations and misrepresentations in the "Aid" book on chronology, it made me so angry.
Have you read "Scholastic Dishonesty" by Michael Buskirk or "The Seven Thunders of Millenial Dawn" by Shadduck?
Don't tell me that Jehovah God would stoop so low! If anyone thought God could lie like this, they don't have the first idea what is meant by the nature of God. There are some things God cannot do, and one of them is to lie. Maybe I should provide a post on that some time.

It is bad to make a false and misleading prophecy. It is worse to later infer that the prophecies were correct.
In 1973, at the height of the frenzied anticipation for the imminent start of the Millennium in 1975, the WTBTS published “God’s Kingdom of a Thousand Years has Approached”. The WTBTS wrote the following about Russell’s expectations in 1876:
“In the course of their Bible studies, these searching students took up a consideration of the ‘times of the Gentiles,’ as spoken of by Jesus at Luke 21:24 (AV), and they associated those Gentile Times with the ‘seven times’ mentioned four times in Daniel, chapter four, verses 16, 23, 25, 32. What did those Bible students determine to be the date for those ‘seven times’ of Gentile domination of the earth to end legally before God? Well, at that time there was a monthly magazine being published in Brooklyn, New York, by one George Storrs, and it was called ‘Bible Examiner.’ In the year 1876 the twenty-four-year-old Russell made a contribution on the subject to this magazine. It was published in Volume XXI, Number 1, which was the issue of October, 1876. On pages 27, 28 of that issue. Russell’s article was published under the title ‘Gentile Times: When Do They End?’ In that article (page 27) Russell said: ‘The seven times will end in A.D. 1914.’ (ch. 11 page 186, “Here Is the Bridegroom!”)
But the WTS does not disclose all that Russell wrote in that direct context:
“ … the seven times will end in A.D. 1914; when Jerusalem shall be delivered forever, and the Jew say of the Deliverer, ‘Lo, this is our God, we have waited for Him and He will save us.’ When Gentile Governments shall have been dashed to pieces; when God shall have poured out of his fury upon the nation, and they acknowledge, him King of Kings and Lord of Lords.“ (“Gentile Times: When do The End?” by Chas. T. Russell, Bible Examiner, October 1876, page 27.)
Russell’s expectations never took place, so the WTS omitted the last portion of his false prophecy. Is this misrepresentation and misquotation the way God’s representatives would behave?
Additionally, in the 1876 article Russell did not associate the ‘seven times’ of Gentile domination with all those verses in Daniel 4 that are cited by the WTS in its book. Russell actually related the ‘seven times’ to Leviticus 26: 27 and 33, and to only verse 23 in Daniel 4.

Is the end really coming?
by themonster123 inwell, as anyone on this board knows i"m a newbie....and witnesses kind of are scaring me with their "end is coming" business.
basically, cuz of three things:.
1) the last convention was called "jehovah's day at hand!
-
Doug Mason
People have been saying "the end is nigh" in every century, including the very first.
The end will come when I get run over by a bus, and that's really scary!
The real problem is that the WTS does not tell people what the Gospel is. If JWs were told, they would never be scared. But that is not in the WTS's interest, is it?
The Gospel: God offers salvation as a FREE GIFT, because Jesus' perfect life, death and resurrection is accounted to the believer -- simply by asking. Now if that's not good news, I don't know.
The WTS keeps heaping fear upon fear, but God offers peace. Grab it with both hands.
The WTS tries to lock people out of the Kingdom, just as the religious leaders tried in Jesus' time. Stay with them if you want to, but ignore their self-seeking "warnings" and listen to the plain word of God.

In my opinion, the legal and medical authorities should limit the role and access of Hospital Liaison Committees to that of providing generic advice to the Board of a medical institution.
HLCs must not be allowed to have knowledge of the treatment being provided or offered to an individual patient. This enables the medical service provider to provide unhindered advice and it ensures the patient knows that the HLC does not know anything about their treatment.
It is illegal for private patient information to be provided to a third party (such as to elders).
Patients need to be able to make up their own mind unhindered by the pressure imposed by "shunning".
Feel free to read my latest Paper, which I wrote with medical and legal bodies in mind. (http://au.geocities.com/doug_mason1940/loyalty_test.pdf)
If that URL does not work, go to my site at http://au.geocities.com/doug_mason1940, look for the page on "blood" and download the file named "loyalty test".
